Augustine Builders has been selected by Design Homes LLC as the largest territory Builder in the company's history
After seeing the Architectural capabilities of Mr. Haryslak, the Design Homes executives focused on the houses throughout Avalon and Stone Harbor that Augustine Builders has built over the years. What they found was supreme workmanship and beautiful details everywhere they looked. In addition, the building science and technical background of David Augustine (State of NJ ICS Building Inspector) was a major advantage to Design Homes LLC in their quest to dominate such a large area of premiere coastal properties by having a builder handle their product line with advanced knowledge of local building codes, zoning and community ordiances.
The area now exclusively represented by the team of Augustine Builders "Seashore Modulars" and William Haryslak (Architect) includes: Cape May NJ, Wildwood NJ, North Wildwood NJ, Stone Harbor NJ, Avalon NJ, Sea Isle City NJ, Strathmere NJ, Ocean City NJ, Longport NJ, Margate NJ, Ventnor NJ, Atlantic City NJ, Brigatine NJ.
Visit Augustine Builders web site at http://www.augustinebuilders.com/ for further information about custom modular designs and building services in any of these communities.

Autum is a great time to build your new construction home in Avalon NJ or anywhere at the Jersey Shore
Everything was going well until we went to Epcot and experienced the "Finding Nemo" attraction. Unfortunately I was swallowed by a shark. Luckily Brianne and Natalie were nereby and assisted by pulling me from his jaws. That was a close call!
The trip capped off with one builder saying "Goodbye" to another builder (Handy Manny).
Always enjoy the time God has blessed us with to spend with family and friends.
Getting back to work: I have just attended our opening meeting for the South Jersey Building Officials council. Our council meeting discussed a variety of building science topics along with budget concerns for the coming fiscal year facing the municipalities within Southern NJ. Topics of concern included how the various construction offices will be able to effectively serve their respective communities with the tightening of the State budget by Governor Chris Christie. On a more practical topic of concern during our meeting: Now that hurricane season is upon us, high wind construction protocol and framing inspection procedures will need to be carefully overseen to better promote quality building practices that will ensure safety as well as structural integrity to any buildings currently being erected in our jurisdiction. Our guest speaker was Richard Hawks of Superior Walls. Superior walls foundation walls are a pre-manufactured foundation wall system that utilize 5000 psi structural concrete within their fabrication. I have personally used Superior Walls on some of my past projects and do agree the product is by far the best system for creating a waterproof basement system for either modular homes or stick built custom homes. If anyone reading this Blog has any questions please feel free to call me at 609-926-6242 or visit our web site at: http://www.augustinebuilders.com/ and drop me a email. Our Seashore Modular Homes are a excellent solution to creating a beautiful custom home on a limited budget. Thanks for reading my posts! Dave Augustine

We have made it to August at the Jersey Shore!
The end of the summer is fast approaching and Augustine Builders is still having fun in Ocean City NJ. While driving over the 9th Street bridge to go to the board walk on Friday evening I snapped this photo of the reinforced concrete trestles being constructed at Ships Channel for the new causeway project. As you can see in this photo the exposed rebar at the tops of the unfinished trestles. The design parameters of the steel in tension is what gives the structure it's extreme strength. This same principle is used in the reinforced concrete grade beams we install below the block work of our custom homes that we build in Avalon, Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City and everywhere along the Jersey Shore.
In the next photo below, we can view the recently postioned reinforced concrete joists that create the deck structure that supports the structural concrete road surface. As you can see viewing the existing Ships Channel 9th Street Bridge, the new structure is approximately 30' higher than the existing structure at it's apex and creates almost 60' of clearance at high tide below the span for the access of tall vessels traveling the intra-coastal water way system. Ironically as you travel the water way only 2 miles south west of this location heading towards Sea Isle City "Dead man's cut" provides only minimal water depth and many a captain including myself have churned up large amounts of mud in search of that fine line to stay within the confines of the channel. The point being "If you have a great big ship that just makes it under the new bridge" "Watch out what lies just ahead Captain!!" or you might be the next "Sindia".
On that trip over the bridge we spotted Lauren Ebner at her family's speed boat ride "Stormin". We rode "Stormin" this summer and were very impressed by the awesome power and speed of that craft. Captain Jim Ebner informed us to hold on when he cranked out the 900 H.P. Yanmar turbo diesels and we soared past 60 M.P.H. within seconds. The boat cut through the water like a sword fish and was the highlight of our summer action activity.
After seeing Lauren from the bridge, we made a quick turn at the base of the 9th Street bridge and said "Hello" to Captain Jim, Miss Jill, and 1st mate Nathan. From there, Miss Lauren joined the Augustine's for a night of thrill rides at the Ocean City Boardwalk. Check us out getting ready to ride the Tilt O Whirl.
In this photo below one of our team members demonstrates his ability to weave cedar siding at a flared corner. These details in fine custom home workmanship are only available to the customer's of Augustine Builders through our services. These are the details our Seashore Modulars exhibit that separate our company from any other Modular Builders that call themselves "Custom Builders". There are no other Modular Builders we know of that have the combination of "Building Science" background and "On Site" construction knowledge. That is what makes us the automatic leader in Custom Modular Homes within Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Margate, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May NJ. Please visit our website at http://www.augustinebuilders.com/ and give us a call about your next project. Have a great day at the Shore! Dave Augustine

Starting the Summer with SOMETHING NEW!

And I would also like to have some FUN! Summer is a great time to be at the shore - it's the time we live for and please don't let it pass by. As much as I love being a builder at the Jersey Shore, I make time to get outside and enjoy life. Our area has so much beauty and so many family friendly activities to choose from. Take a fishing trip, comb the beaches or visit the Casinos - but above all spend quality time with those you love!
I will be posting photos here thoughout the year so you can see how the Augustine family spends their leisure time. I will also be posting important news for homeowners and I am standing by to help anyone who needs expert advice on the building process.
